Most bead jewelry sold online and in stores is strung on steel beading wire or stretch cord because solid gold flexible wire would break very easily and cost a lot more. Only bead sizes 3mm and larger can be strung on our 14k solid gold chain. The holes of most gemstone beads are too small for chain.
